            Beginning in 1962 as the exclusive Executone Distributor for the four-state region we began with Intercoms and Nursecall Systems.  We expanded into Business Telephone Systems in the 1970’s – back when all phone calls were made in the same way:  a dedicated circuit connected each and every call and stayed open until someone hung up.  Techniques have since been developed to convert telephone conversations into small packets of data - the way computers communicate.  Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is the convergence of Voice/Data/Video Networks.  COMMLINK SYSTEMS designs innovative solutions that provide connectivity, which is easily manageable.

            As the industry continued to evolve so did our company.  We began to do business as COMMLINK SYSTEMS.  In order to offer our customers the complete package of communication products and services we began to represent companies in addition to Executone.

DISASTER RECOVERY CHECKLIST

• Regularly test your battery backup and UPS Systems.
• Keep your communication system and data rooms locked and accessible only to authorized personnel.
• If your cable risers pass through other companies’ closets, are there fire stops?
• Are there fire sprinklers over your PBX and data equipment?  Are there drains or covers?
• Do you have smoke detectors installed in your equipment rooms?
• Keep emergency numbers for your servicing companies handy for your employees.
• Do you have a backup programmed in case your mail console goes down?
